Greater Lessons From The Mirror
We are already free, we are already whole, we are already enough, but to realise these states, can only be done by testing the boundaries, to find the walls of the cage, to push against them, to indulge in all the third dimensional pleasures and distractions, and lose ourselves. By losing our true spirit, by getting lost down narrow avenues, we realise we miss the great expanse of our own souls, and as this discomfort settles in, so begins the journey home. We must lose ourselves, to find ourselves. This is the journey we are on. This is the Homecoming. And from this life, right now, (you did chose to come to this site and read this article), if we can retain some degree of self awareness, can hold a beginning, middle and end, we can add a little more conscious wisdom to our storehouse, and very gradually the path begins to unfold before us.
Whereas once I was lost, now I am found,
Whereas once i was blind now i can see
The Old World and the mirror
Remember that in the time of Christ as with many other masters, there was no internet, no news as we know it today, so we were unaware of what happened outside our village, unless major events occurred. So statements such as “love they neighbour” made more sense on a local scale. Even “love thine enemy” can make some sense on a community level. The community will work together to keep the trouble-makers in line, to perhaps show them a higher path, and work with them so all can be in harmony, be of service to each other, be purposeful, rather than reactive. In those days we only had to focus on a small amount of stimulus from those around us. A less complex reflection from a simpler, local mirror.
The Mirror Today
Today we are bombarded with information, with bogeymen and “terrorists”. With all that may frighten us, and all the examples of our peers that in turn become what we may expect ourselves to be. There is so much noise from all angles that we have long ago forgotten to step back and observe, be still, contemplate, and see what the gut says, our higher self, see what might be presented. Without our own inner grounding, we are led from outside ourselves. This physical world is designed to lead us, to spoonfeed us a narrative and we become so complacent that being led becomes the norm, rather than leading ourselves.
Many of us become frustrated and angry when not steered and led like sheep, we are so unused to seeking and exploring for ourselves. We tell ourselves we are free, we tell ourselves “I’m not as brainwashed, or easily led as other people”, but with an honest inventory of our views and beliefs we may learn otherwise. Even the “awakened” have their chosen gurus who can do no wrong. Tis a hard lesson to give our power away to others, to see it squandered and disrespected. Yet many refuse to look at themselves and learn the lesson, instead they pick another guru, leader, politician to hang on to and blindly believe “this time will be different”, Many are learning that lesson these days, the hard way.
Faith in any politician or social justice leader must be questioned. I have faith in one man who I entrust with my life, my Self. Of course I’ll make mistakes, but I’ll learn from them, and I am responsible for the outcome, there’s no one else to blame. Naturally I trust others around me for various needs and support, I need the doctor, the dentist, the car mechanic, but I am the best person to take decisions that affect the direction of my life, and when needed I can employ the expertise of one better experienced than myself, but ultimately I have the final say. Delegating this responsibility to strangers is sheer madness, but a necessary lesson for us all. Yet, in saying all that, we chose to be lost, to forget, to be misled, to give away our power, to get burned and abused and disrespected, so in that hard lesson, we gradually realise the necessity to return home, to our Selves, our own power and greatness. These people are not tricksters, the bankers and politicians, it is I us who have let our guard down and again strayed from our own place of power when we become seduced by the new (old familiar) tune.
No one duped us, no one tricked us, we signed up for this game, take responsibility, ownership and take action.
What do you want?
It’s quite a challenge to lead ourselves. There are many wonderful fluffy phrases on the internet and in spiritual books about stepping into your power and creating your abundant life. That’s all well an good. However, if we seek to be fearless, if we aim to be a Master, we must conquer all eventualities. I don’t seek to be a Master when the sun shines and the money flows, I seek to be the Master when it hails, and there is no money, when violence and ridicule stands before me, teeth exposed. To have the inner resolve and focus to steer out of the hail and into abundance, to remain rock solid, composed, unshakable, the Observer, the Master, the Warrior.
To deflect the arrows and abuse, trust me they’re coming, they’re in the post, a true warrior must engage partners to spar with, partners to sharpen her skills. This is the man or woman who is free, who has nothing to fear. Does this power lie within you? This calm and resolve. This immovable strength.
On the grand scale, we are on this great journey, perhaps, lasting hundreds, thousands of lifetimes as humans, of leaving that whole God being, to mine the depts of three dimensional experience, lost for many hundreds or thousands of years in the game that is being human. Only to very slowly, begin to find completion with some of these pursuits.
We become tired of the destruction we individually create, I’m not talking about other people, war mongers and terrorists (for they are not separate from ourselves). I’ll talk about myself. Having explored all the lower levels of violence. Having split my consciousness off into fragments, to venture off on differing paths of destruction of life, having nurtured and fed and built up these dark energies, these literal demons who have dwelled within my being, lived with me for I suspect tens of thousands of years, a couple I had the sense of hundreds of thousands, but who knows. I created these beautiful monsters, these animals. I manifested these entities, beings of darkness. My brothers and sisters, my teachers and guides, all for both my own growth and expansion, and to be in service to others, to play the role of “bad guy” with those I love, to help them on their path of expansion. But this is just the destructive side, of course there have been productive lives, of Mystery Schools and and spiritual practise, of gradually dragging myself up out of the dirt. There comes a time when we have little choice but to look within, at reality of who we really are, warts and all.

Acknowledge Your Reflection
The God I am, the power within creates so much more than our daily ups and downs. I am the prison guard and the prisoner. I am a the good cop, the bad cop and the cold hearted killer. I am the corrupt politician. I am the reptilian entities. I am the gruesome demonic creatures I’ve encountered in my ayahuasca purges. I am the sunflower, the child at play. I am the innocence of womankind. I am the pure of heart. I am the anchored, rooted, unwavering strength of man. I am the force of nature, the greatness of God. I am truely unstoppable when focused and determined.
The pain in my back, the tightness in my chest. A closed heart. None of it by accident. None of it wrong or bad. As I expand I explore this energy, this entity perhaps, this creation I have breathed life into is doing exactly as I have envisioned it to. Yet at times I am angry and unhappy with this painful gift. An explorer God, building sandcastles, baking cakes, generating Gods to challenge me and break me down. There must come a time I stop and look, observe all that I create as beautiful creation, all of it, pristine manifestations, rather than problems, or experiences I dislike. To step back from the reaction, to a neutral standpoint. All this is going somewhere, the back pain, the disease, the “problems” are not accidents, or bad luck, we have created them, why? What is the message here? What journey are we on? Can I pay attention to these creations, acklowledge them, be grateful to my Higher Self for them, even though I have yet to understand them. They were afterall manifested by a God, they are God’s creation.
There are more things in heaven and earth Horatio than are dreamt of in your philosophy. – Hamlet
With open eyes, not always easy, I can see who I am, reflected in my surroundings. If I look closely enough, if I am patient, if I engage my spirit, if I engage my body, my senses, my heart, I will be shown. I will see. This superimposed “reality” is an audio visual feast, a wealth of energy, of dreams and expression. Of trickery. The inner world, and the other world.
The Learning Curve
If you want to be the warrior you will have to go to war, sooner or later, and you’ll die, many times in many horrid ways. To hold courage and power you will immerse yourself in fear and powerlessness, in weakness among tyrants. You will live as the tyrant and the victim, many times, and eventually face the grief and remorse, the powerlessness and the shame of playing these roles, make peace, and move beyond, into a new greater perspective. None of this is good or bad, merely experience, so when you notice within you or those around you, the victim or the tyrant, pause and reflect, why might you be shown this, what lesson is being presented?
As the heart expands there will be love, a greater deeper expansive love, ohh how wonderful! There will also be pain, new depts of grief and sadness unknown before, all part of the release. For a greater open heart, is open to love and support, but in this opening all those walls we built up over many lifetimes must come down, vulernability must be faced with conviction…The heart wants what the heart wants, this is not a conscious choice, we are being moved, we surrender and follow the path.
Any why must we take these steps, out into the unknown, into this shadowy path where our broken heart lies? Because dear friend, there is no place left to go, we have traversed all pathways, played all the characters on the stage, and now empty and yearning, we seek a greater, richer peace, beyond jewels and self importance, beyond flesh and might, we seek to return Home, to dwell within our hearts, full and rested.
